Troy is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Troy is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Iβve spent a few months in France and these are excellent croissants! The sandwiches are great and the people who work there are nice! Go!

Came to try the Pizza, was definitely surprised. The round slice was great, very crisp and a good ny style slice. Also tried the Roman style cheese and grandma slice, which was very good. Great cheese, sauce, and was a fan of the dough. Had a great crisp bottom while being very airy and soft. Would definitely recommend trying the pizza here.

The pastryβs at placid are without a doubt great. But the sandwiches are the best in the city (along with Malloβs). The pizza they do for lunch by the slice is New Haven style and truly some of the best in capital region. This place is all around a hidden gem

I discovered a great bakery in downtown Troy, especially lively during the Farmers Market on Saturdays. They offer an excellent selection of breads, bagels, and various pastries. However, thereβs no espresso or mixed coffeeβjust a coffee station with drip coffee served from a thermos. Itβs a local favorite for picking up fresh bread, with consistent foot traffic after 10 AM. There are also a few cozy spots to sit, both inside and outside. The pre made egg could be a little thinner or cook it separate or longer so its still not cold inside while the rest is melted. π

We stopped here for lunch yesterday. They offer sandwiches and lots of pastries. We shared the Tom's Turkey sandwich, which hit the spot. Highly recommend it. The ciabatta bread was so, so yummy. We also shared a mudslide, which was so tasty and not too sweet. It was the perfect chocolate treat. The restaurant is clean and the employees are nice and friendly. Highly recommend..
